Invitation to participate in research interview
Dear Kilburn Neighbourhood Forum
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Vienne, and I am currently an urban planning postgraduate student from UCL. I am currently conducting research in the Kilburn neighbourhood- focusing on how community groups are involved in leading localized initiatives to develop alternative ideas on town centre/ high street regeneration. The objective of the research is to study how community-led regeneration/ community improvement districts could potentially bring greater control for local people over neighbourhood development and enable better functioning of town centre/ high streets in delivering social/ cultural/ economic values to local people. I have come across that Kilburn Neighbourhood Forum has actively taken an active role in the process, and I am interested in gaining insights from your valuable experience and expertise.
The interview can be conducted either in person, via a video/ voice call, or whichever is most convenient for your organization. The estimated duration of the interview is approximately 20 minutes. As a participant, you will be asked to answer some basic questions such as the context of the project, the project current progress, and individual perspectives on the project and expectations for the project’s future. If you agree, this conversation will be audio recorded (this is not required, and you may choose to participate without audio recording).
Your participation would involve sharing insights related to the following research topic (you are not required to answer all of the topics):
1) How did the community-led regeneration set up itself, and how did the plan form, such as regulatory and policy frameworks, sizes of the funding and stakeholders involved?
2) How does the local partnership engage with community-led regeneration and what initiatives have been developed?
3) What changes have happened in terms of generated economic and socio-cultural value for the locals?
4) What are the main opportunities and challenges associated with the current process?
Your participation in this study will be kept STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL. This means that if you choose not to be identified, none of your personal identifiers will be collected or used in any research report or presentation.
If you are interested in participating or have any questions regarding the research or interview process, please do not hesitate to reach out to me through email or at +447746658886. I would be more than happy to provide any additional information you may require or address any concerns you may have.
Thank you for considering this invitation. I sincerely hope that you will be able to contribute to the research. Your valuable insights would greatly enrich my study and help shed light on important issues in our community.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best regards,
Vienne
